A financing concept ready for investors – the futureSAX Forum for Founders II in Dresden
Without the necessary capital, even the best founding idea is sure to fail. Therefore, a solid and convincing financing plan is essential. At the second futureSAX Forum for Founders, on March 22 in the incubator of the Gläserne Manufaktur Dresden, more than 40 participants engaged in this very topic. In informative talks – with a beautiful view on the production of the E-Golf – the participants were given Tips and Tricks towards a convincing financing concept.
The managing director of futureSAX, Marina Heimann, started the session with a short introduction. Nico Jacobi senior expert for business clients at the Deutsche Bank then gave a talk about financing opportunities and selling arguments towards a bank. Afterwards, the participants had the chance to present themselves, their ideas and their motivation to join the event. The second talk was given by Rico Wünsche, team leader for direct holdings at the der Mittelständischen Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen mbH . It dealt with the mind-set of investors regarding the financing of start-ups. Subsequently, Dr. Frank Pankotsch, managing director at Dresden|exists talked about common stumbling blocks for the creation of a financing concept.
The tenor of these talks was similar: keep it simple – the easier and more comprehensible the financing concept is visualized, the higher the chances are that the investor understands it and is willing to invest in it. Finally, Johannes Rönsberg of the Volkswagen Future Mobility Incubator Dresden, gave insights in the VW-Inkubator and presented it as a door opener to the world of corporates.
During the following get-together, the participants exchanged experience and knowledge among each other, looked for investors and clarified questions directly with the speakers. It was a successful and informative evening for all participants, no matter if they founders, companies or investors.
