Twenty cutting-edge start-up and growth concepts in the Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A phases from Saxony, the state of innovation, took the opportunity to introduce themselves to around 40 investors and capital providers from all over Germany at the futureSAX Investors Roadshow. And again this time the well prepared pitches of the Saxon founders and entrepreneurs were convincing.

Deutsche Bank provided the perfect setting for the event in the form of the Quartier Zukunft (Future Quarter), which, thanks to its open concept and modern orientation, was once again chosen as the ideal location for the presentation of the innovators in the centre of Berlin.

After the welcome by futureSAX project manager Alexander Seedorff and Tobias Roy, Technology Sector Coverage - Team Head of Deutsche Bank AG, the investors were able to convince themselves of the exciting investment cases. Before the teams claimed the stage for themselves, Uwe Horstmann, Founding Partner, Project A Venture Capital, inspired the participants with his keynote speech on "Learnings from 10 years of Venture Capital - How does this industry work? Previously, he had introduced himself during a short interview with futureSAX managing director Marina Heimann.

The founding teams had exactly three minutes to convince investors and financiers of their idea and arouse their interest for a later one-on-one meeting. Well prepared through the futureSAX pitch workshop, the teams impressively succeeded.


In a total of four pitch sessions from the investment phases Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A, the founders from all over Saxony use this opportunity to promote their ideas for financing.

After and during the pitches, the numerous investors repeatedly sought contact with the entrepreneurs from Saxony. From business angels to strategic venture capital companies, the investor side was also represented in a variety of ways.

Between the 30-minute pitch sessions with convincing pitches and intensive exchanges, the focus was on get-togethers and one-on-one meetings. After promising encounters and discussions as well as a good atmosphere, a positive conclusion can again be drawn: the concepts of the Saxon innovators can also convince Germany's startup stronghold Berlin. Now it's time for founders and investors to stay on the ball and turn networking into further talks.
